Summary of teaching:  

 
  • Last year I taught over 100-class room chess lesson. I also taught 50 private lessons.
  • I taught every day of the week Monday - Friday in after school chess programs.
  • Weekly I teach more than 350 adult & scholastic students.
  • I teach basic, intermediate, and advance chess concepts.

Chess Journalism

  • I was also the Editor for the Illinois Chess Bulletin (ICB) State Chess magazine 2001-2006.
  • I published 29 issues for the Illinois Chess Association that went out to over 800 member bi-monthly.
  • The magazine varied in length from 40 -64 pages each issue. It include game reports, stories, articles, crosstables and ICA information.

Chess Fun / Collecting

  • I collect high end chess equipment.
  • I have 8-hardwood chessboard priced between $400 - $2500 each.
  • I had some of those boards signed by 3 world champion, 6 US champions, and multiple chess celebrities.
  • Of course boards would not be complete with out fancy sets, which I have to many also.
  • I run a Chess Challenge Events at local festivals and fairs.
  • I do about five events a year. We spread the good news about chess.
  • These are chess outreaches to the community.
  • We play Simuls, slow game, blitz games give beginner and intermediate chess lessons.
  • We also educate the public about local clubs, private chess teachers school chess programs, local clubs, ICA & USCF organization.
